Sloppy Joe Pizza Pockets

You want pizza, but do not really want pizza, this is your answer.
  • 2 tbs extra-virgin olive oil, more for greasing
  • 1 bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • store-bought pizza dough, thawed
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded (2 cups)
  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add chopped bell pepper and onion and cook until softened.
  3. Stir the ground turkey, canned tomato sauce, a little Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper.
  4. Cut store-bought pizza dough into quaters and stretch each piece into an 8-inch round. Spoon the filling onto the dough rounds on a baking sheet, top with cheese, then fold over the dough and pinch to seal.
  5. Bake the pockets until golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
